The Photography Issue / Part 1 0f 5

I love the feelings that photographs give me when I see one that I’ve never seen before. I love seeing photographs that inspire me to take photographs. I love how photographs take a three dimensional phenomenon such as life, and turns it into a two dimensional artifact which is the photograph, and then, over time it becomes dimensionless just like a memory.

I love finding a scene playing out in front of my eyes and the excitement that comes from taking a moment that best sums up those many sequential moments by just pressing a button. I love how photography lets you become an editor. Essentially, photographs are just edited moments in time and space. Even the act of choosing which photographs to display is an editor’s role. Basically being a photographer means being an editor of visible reality.

I love how there are three parts to every photograph: the subject, the photographer, and the viewer. Each is nothing without the other.

I missed photography so much...

    I love how a photograph can capture a moment in time. It is amazing depending on how relevant ones perception of time is. It also relies heavily on what we perceive the "empty space" aka "matter" to be e.g. A person, a speaker, a VW Beetle ect because in the end physical objects are merely what we perceive them to be given our limited use of brain power. I however find it beautiful how my eyes interpret pictures and how it stimulates my mind and awakens my other senses

    We'll I'm not really one to label things especially not myself so basically I'm just a person who loves to take photographs. How about you?

    I, for one, love abstract photography. The cool thing about abstract photography/paintings are that the intention of the artist isn't what draws you to it. The interpretation of the viewer defines it.
